11 Reasons Why Morning Sex Should Be a Essential Part of Your Married Life

Only having sex at night is like only having sex in your bed or only having sex if the lights are off. Yeah, I’ll say it — boring. Whether you are in a hot new relationship or have been together for a long time, sex tends to be a “when the lights go out” thing — but you could give a thought of starting the day “with a bang” is the best way to go. It will delight you to know that morning sex is not only good sex in itself, but could also help you physically and emotionally. Here are some of the reasons why you should have morning sex more often.

morning sex

1. It keeps you healthy.

According to research, morning sex can actually strengthen your immune system by boosting your levels of IgA, an antibody that protects against infection.

2. Morning sex feels way better.

Morning sex is better than regular sex for several reasons. First, being well-rested and mentally recharged, you will possess the stamina of a demi-god to outperform your usual night-boning self into a blissful orgasm. Couples who do it during the night are usually tired from all the activities of the day, making their fun parts less receptive to copulation.

Second, a few minutes after waking up, your mind is still not fully conscious and aware, making you less inhibited. As a result, your morning boning session may make you more “creative” and adventurous in bed.

3. You’re saving the environment and water too.

We all love planet Earth and want it to stick around, right? You can do your small part to save the environment. In the morning, you’ll likely only have time for a quickie. You can combine morning sex with SHOWER SEX – and take a shower together. Save water and time and conserve the environment.

4. He’ll last longer.

Morning wood…remember? Make it worthwhile.  If a male’s testosterone is at its highest first thing in the morning, which means it’s when his energy is at a peak as well. You can only benefit from this equation. When a man has higher testosterone and is well-rested, he has more energy during sex. That energy will help him last longer. So you can be lazy, he can do all the work.

5. Sex is just sexier with the lights on.

You know that pale, hazy light that comes with the dawn—that soft light with a faint tinge of yellow? Photographers call this time of the morning the “golden hour,” when the sun begins to peek over the horizon. The golden hour light filtering in your window, and passing over half-naked bodies with pillow-tousled hair, will give you and your partner an extra boost of attraction. All the better to whet that growing sexual appetite.

6. It makes you feel good the whole day.

The act of sex makes the human brain release serotonin and dopamine, two neurotransmitters responsible for feelings of calm and relaxation. In addition, an orgasm produces a brain chemical called oxytocin, which is responsible for making you feel connected to your partner. This is the perfect wake-up call, especially if you’re not a morning person, as morning sex will definitely brighten up your day.

7. It is a boost to your immune system.

Always good but even better when you are about to jump on the subway and be around a bunch of obnoxious sick people. Avoid getting sick and start your day feeling incredible. Seems like a win-win to me.

8. It is convenient.

Most of us prefer to sleep comfortably, with as little clothing as possible. Many even sleep in the nude. Morning sex is already looking great: you don’t have to take off your clothes—which is something you need to do when you have sex at another time of the day.

Waking up next to a warm, naked body does wonders to your below-the-waist appetite. A little poke with the rod while spooning is sure to get things going *with little effort* because, you know, both of you are already lying down. Both of you are going to get a shower, anyway, so why not get a little more dirty before freshening yourselves up?

9. It will make you glow.

Aside from the drug-like high produced by orgasms, there are also physical side effects which most people identify as “post-coital glow.” The sex chemicals mentioned above make your hair shine, make your skin glow, and make your face and eyes relax. You can now say that morning sex is a better beauty treatment than an expensive trip to the spa.

10. It spices up your relationship and sex life.

Morning sex adds more spice to your relationship in many ways. First, knowing that you could have sex spontaneously at the start of the day *not to mention sober* suggests that there is youthful passion still burning between you. Second, starting the day with something intimate ensures that you will be on each other’s minds for the rest of the day.

11. It’s so dreamy.

Snuggle up and sniff your man first thing in the morning, when all that testosterone is at a high and he’s yet to take his AM shower. You’ll be enveloped in his natural scent, and there’s no fragrance on earth that mirrors that level of turn on. Seriously, even a man’s musky underarm scent can be a sex mood booster!

And nothing is written in stone. We still break the mold many days. But for the most part, this sleepy-head wife can honestly say, that whether it’s a weekend or a weekday, the best time for us as a couple has become the morning. Because hubby is a morning person, and he patiently wakes me up with his arms circled around my waist, waiting for some sign of life.
