Pardes Mein Hai Meraa Dil is an upcoming Indian daily soap opera produced by Ekta Kapoor which will be aired on Star Plus. The series is inspired by the 1997 film Pardes.
The makers are leaving no stone unturned to make the show a hit and have roped in a stellar cast which includes popular names like Drashti Dhami, Arjun bijlani and Laksh Lalwani.
Drashti plays a simple Indian girl. Based on Manju Kapoor novel and Subhash Ghai’s Pardes.
In this show, Arjun will play the character which is similar to Shah Rukh’s role in the film while Laksh Lalwani will play Neel the spoiled NRI close on the heels of Apurva Agnihotri’s character. This will be the first time that Arjun and Drashti will be sharing the screen space.
The show, produced by Ekta Kapoor under her banner Balaji Telefilms, has been extensively shot in Austria. Earlier, it was reported that Shaleen Malhotra was roped in as the male lead. But the actor opted out of the project due to creative differences with the makers.
