13 Signs He is Not Just Your Boyfriend But Your Soulmate

When you’re dating someone, you’d like to think that you’re both at the same pace. In life, there are many different kinds of friends. It could be your best friend that fits the bill or your boyfriend – there’s more than one definition of the word and more than one person can fill that role in our lives. But when it comes to romance, how do you know that the person you’re falling for is more than just your boyfriend and might actually be soulmate material? You know your boyfriend is your soulmate when…

1. You end fights with laughing

You have trouble taking him seriously, which might be a matter of concern in the long run; because every time he tries to impress the importance of something, you can’t help but laugh. He has such a cute angry face, plus you know he wouldn’t mind if you laugh your butt off. You know you will get through it.

2. You guys have no secrets

You know one another like a book and have zero secrets. It’s amazing how one person knows so much about you. They know about your most embarrassing moments and you know your secret is safe with them. You tell them everything, my partner has a female friend who told me that my partner’s ex is dating one of his close friends, she told me not to tell him but I absolutely had to.

3. You can be a baby around them

You can be an absolute baby in their presence, and they love every bit of it. I literally punch him and make a run for it; he eventually catches up to me, because I am a fat cow and he tickles the hell out of me. The first time our parents saw us handing out, they couldn’t believe that we were dating. This is exactly what my mother said, ‘I seriously cannot believe that you guys are dating

4. You sing songs to one another

He has a horrendous voice, I mean zero ability, yet I completely cherish it when he sings for me. He frequently sings to me around evening time, my sisters regularly ridicule me yet I believe it’s so sentimental.

5. He makes you a better person

The people who we are affected by the most are the ones who have changed us just by their presence in our lives overhauling everything we thought we knew and wanted. It’s not a bad thing, this is supposed to happen, usually.

6. You’ve spent years together and you still enjoy it

This one is a little bit difficult to decipher early on in a relationship, but is certainly a good indicator of that guy, who you swear up and down is just a friend; who really might be a little bit more than that to you, at least deep down in your heart. Many relationships go through the honeymoon phase, where seeing them gives you butterflies and they can do no wrong. If you have one of those friends who’s always there for you, and no matter how long you go without speaking, you just fall back into routine the second you see them.

7. You always know what they are thinking

You may have this with your partner now; or maybe you have it with your best friend, or a sibling. But it’s a special bond where you can literally read their mind. No fake magic or mind games here. You two are so connected. Your soul mate knows when you want to talk, when you want to be left alone, when you need a pick me up and when they should go for that goofy, but oh-so romantic kiss.

8. He makes you feel good

More than anything else, it’s important that your soulmate makes you feel good about yourself. If there are times when he makes you feel lousy, it’s a sign that he isn’t your soulmate. If, however, he encourages you, speaks highly about you all the time, and always makes you feel awesome, it’s one of clear signs he’s your soulmate.

9. Reality is better than a dream with him

While living the single, or semi-single life, you had many dreams, or fantasies, if you will, about this person, who you may have never met. But now you’ve found this person you want to spend time with; contrary to popular belief that he “makes you” spend your free time with him; you just want to. It has been said that true love is when you don’t want to go to sleep because reality is better than a dream. Though this arguably isn’t exclusively true love, it is a sign that you’ve found your soul mate.

10. There’s always room for you in his schedule

He makes time for you even when by all accounts he’s busy as fuck. If he works two jobs, he’ll pick you up on his way home, if he’s got a lunch break when you’re not working he’ll ask you to swing by his office, he’ll text you whenever he’s got a break.

11. Your worst self has come out with them, and to only them.

The truest soul mates are a direct reflection of you, so they inevitably show you everything that is unhealed. In times of need, he’s able to make you feel better when you want to pull your hair out. Sometimes just having him around does the trick. His calming effect on you is almost magical.

12. You know you are both 100% loyal

Trust is important in any relationship, but sometimes it’s not so easy to have trust all the time. When our partners are out all night long, doubts and worries can creep in. So one of good signs he’s your soulmate is that you 100% trust him. You know he’s never going to betray you and break your heart. It’s an intuition, a feeling, and you know it isn’t wrong. You also know that you would never betray him. In fact, you wouldn’t do anything that could hurt him.

13. He says “We”

When “we” replaces “I”, you know you’ve got a keeper. Add to this his dilated pupils every time he sees you – OK, you’ll have to get close to him to notice this, granted – and any of the above signs, and you can officially part company with your “single” status.

You may love other people in life. You could theoretically spend your life happily with a thousand other people, but you know you’re not supposed to. In this sense, it’s never a matter of forcing the relationship to work, but just letting it unfold as you know, even without physical evidence, it’s supposed to.
