From the wedding to the reception, here’s a detailed report of what Bipasha and Karan have planned for their wedding…
Bipasha Basu is finally settling down. In a joint statement they told, “We are happy to finally share the good news with everyone. 30th April 2016 is the big day and we cannot thank our family, friends, fans and well wishers enough for all their love and support. The wedding will be a private intimate affair. Our deepest gratitude for respecting our privacy this far. We hope to have your continued blessings and warm wishes as we embark on this new journey together”
The actress, who has dated a few actors (Dino Morea, John Abraham and Harman Baweja) in the past and was shy of making the big commitment, has finally decided to marry her actor beau of two years — Karan Singh Grover. The duo are tying the knot in a week’s time.
Here’s all you need to know about the wedding!
Mehndi and Sangeet:
The combined mehendi and sangeet ceremony will be held on April 29 at Villa 69, a lounge bar in Juhu. It will be a close and intimate affair with only immediate family and close friends being invited for the same.
It’s Bips all the way:
A leading daily reported, “She wants everything in the wedding to be a surprise, even for Karan. Bipasha is personally taking care of every minute detail of the main function. Her parents (who flew down from Kolkata just a few days ago) are helping her with the arrangements.” So despite being nervous and having pre-wedding jitters, Bipasha is finally looking over all the arrangements.
According to Indian tradition, the haldi ceremony will happen on the day the marriage happens. The haldi will be held in the morning on April 30 itself.
Shaadi ke din:
The wedding will also be an intimate affair and that will be held at St.Regis, Lower Parel. Bipasha who is three years older to Karan has made sure that only closest friends be a part of their special moments.
Bengali style wedding:
We had heard that before the reception, there will be an intimate Bengali-style wedding at Bipasha’s Khar residence in the morning attended by close family and friends from both sides, on the same day. Even the wedding ceremony will happen in complete Bengali style where Bipasha will be dressed as a traditional Bengali bou while Karan will be wearing a white dhoti and topor.
A small wedding:
While Bipasha was always keen to have a grand wedding, this one will be small. Karan’s mother only recently gave her stamp of approval and his divorce too came through last month, so the couple feel a small wedding will be best under the circumstances. While this is her first marriage, it is Karan’s third.
Last we heard that Bips and Karan won’t have any wedding reception, as planned previously. “They will instead be having a low-key party on the night of the wedding. It will be an intimate get-together with the couple’s closest friends coming down to make their big day special,” reported a leading daily.
Our best wishes to the couple for a happy married life.
