9 Gestures That Will Make Your Guy Feel Loved and Cared

The woman is the most incredible gift a man can have. He worries about her and loves her. We think men don’t notice the little things we do for them, but here’s a secret for you – it’s always the little things we do that make them feel loved. And regardless of whether you’re married or newly committed, if you’ve got a good man to love, he deserves to feel that way, too. Not all of these gestures are going to work for you, but at least a few of them will!

Pick two or three gestures this week to use to show your man how much you love him!

1. Tell him how handsome he is.

Anybody who’s been in a good, healthy romantic relationship has likely had a sense that he or she was cared for, thought about, and loved during the day. If your partner works outside the home, let him know that you appreciate what he does. Even if he loves his job, I guarantee you there are days when he thinks about yelling at his boss, or just hiding away in his office all day. But he doesn’t do it. Part of the reason might be you, and your family.

2. Food really is the way to a man’s heart.

Sometimes true romance doesn’t need to be more extravagant than a favorite meal. Make a list of his favorite snacks, treats, and meals – and make one of them for your husband, just because you love him.

3. Take care of yourself.

Your man is going to feel loved when you take care of yourself. Make time to eat right, exercise, and look your best, so that you can feel your best. Take care of yourself emotionally, too. Love where you are at in life and be optimistic and grateful. Having a happy and healthy wife goes a long ways in helping your man feel loved.

4. Kiss him again and again.

A passionate kiss can spike the neurotransmitter dopamine, which is linked to feelings of craving and desire. It can also solidify the strong bonds between you and your partner.

5. Listen carefully.

One of the things that a man likes best is for his girl to pay attention when he is talking and to show interest in what he is saying. Communication is very important and if this exchange of words is accompanied with interest, it makes men feel way better. We might have thought that only women want for their partner to be an attentive listener but men need it as well.

6. When you get something for yourself, get something for him, too.

It’s powerful advice and so easy to do! Picking up a coffee? Grab him one! Making a cup of tea? Offer to make him one, too. When you go shopping for yourself, and come back with a shirt for him… Just because you think it would look super cute on him. That shirt, ladies, soon becomes his favourite.

7. Ask for his advice, and then follow it.

Guys like to fix things, and they often have wise (and realistic) insight into ways of overcoming challenges and problems. It would be wise to show your husband how much you love him by taking his advice, and then thanking him for it later. He’ll really appreciate it, and be more likely to give advice only when you ask, because he’ll know you care about what he thinks and will take his advice to heart.

8. Pick up one of his hobbies.

Even if he’s all about dancing and you have two left feet, or he’s crazy about cars and you could care less, pick one of his hobbies and make it yours. It might not be your favorite activity, but if you do something simply because he likes it, he’ll recognize it as a gesture of love. I’m not saying you can’t have your own hobbies, but you can definitely show love for your hubby by showing interest in the things he loves.

9. Initiate sex more – and be more playful and romantic.

Out of the last five times you’ve made love, how many have you initiated, and how many has your husband initiated? Show him you want him and need him as much as he wants and needs you. Nothing says ‘Take me now’ like dressing up for the occasion. Slip into your sexiest negligee and strut into your bedroom.
