Keerti Gaekwad Kelkar replaces Dipika Kakar in ‘Sasural Simar Ka’, returns to TV after 6 years
Colors’ popular daily Sasural Simar Ka (Rashmi Sharma Telefilms), which is known for its gripping storyline, is set to witness a major replacement.
As viewers are already aware, Dipika Kakar, who played Simar from the onset, recently bid adieu to the show. Post that, the makers had gone on an intense hunt to get their new Simar.
Now we heard that the serial has finally found its new Simar. “Sasural Simar Ka”, which has been on air since last six years, will feature Keerti as new Simar. She would be facing the camera after six long years. Keerti had quit work after she married Sharad Kelkar and delivered their baby girl.
“Over the years, family took precedence and I was happy with that. But then, Colors approached me for Simar’s role in ‘Sasural Simar Ka’, and I was sold. I’ve seen Dipika in ‘Sasural Simar Ka’, and she’s been fabulous!
“There have been so many sides to Simar’s character — be it her strong personality, her endurance in fighting for her family’s happiness, or her determination in keeping them safe. I am eager to partake in this new journey to further my skills as an actor,” added the actress, who is married to actor Sharad Kelkar and has a daughter named Kesha with him.
