The love story of Yuvraj Singh and Hazel Keech
Bollywood actress Hazel Keech and Indian cricket star Yuvraj Singh are all set to tie the knot on November 30 in Chandigarh.
Well, let us take a look at Yuvraj and Hazel’s relationship journey.
They have reportedly been dating each other for some time before their relationship garnered the media spotlight. Only a few close friends were privy to Yuvraj and Hazel’s relationship. Yuvraj had earlier on hinted his marriage plans on Twitter, consciously or not, during a ‘very-public’ conversation with fellow teammate Harbhajan Singh.
Yuvraj congratulated Bhajji for his wedding, and Bhajji in turn left a word of advice to the ‘Casanova of the Indian cricket team’ as he wrote, “@YUVSTRONG12 u should also come in a line and play straight now.”
To this, Yuvraj wrote back saying, “yes mr @harbhajan_singh from Diwali onwards I’m going to play straight.”
Well, if this was not a clear hint, then we don’t know what can be. This friendly Twitter conversation was followed by reports of Yuvraj and Hazel’s impending roka ceremony in the month of November. But Yuvraj Singh squashed the rumours by tweeting, “So now my dear media has decided the venue and month of my marriage can u also tell me the dates so I can get ready well in time!”
Looks like the reports were not all that wrong. It was not his roka, but his engagement that happened. And that too was soon followed by photos, which showed Yuvraj and Hazel enjoying some alone time together on a vacation in an exotic destination.
Yuvraj and Hazel announced the news of their engagement on November 12, 2015. The engagement was attended by only close family members and friends of the couple. Yuvraj made things official by confirming the engagement on Twitter. He wrote, “Yes I am engaged cause i found a friend for life in @hazelkeech as mom says a reflection of her”
This was followed by an official announcement by Hazel Keech as well. She wrote on Twitter, “Yes, its true, im getting married to @YUVSTRONG12 Im so thankful to have found such an amazing person #shazam”.
Yuvraj Singh’s father Yograj Singh also revealed the details about the couple. In an interview to India Today, Yograj revealed, “I was introduced to her (Hazel) by Yuvraj and she is a very nice girl. I am confident that marrying her will change his fortunes and he will return to the national squad.”
Yuvraj’s mother Shabnam Singh is very happy with this match as well. In an interview to Indian Express, she expressed her joy by saying, “Finally, he found the right girl. This was the time when I felt he required a partner. I wanted him to get married and he had told me that he wouldn’t marry till he doesn’t find the right girl.”
The gurdwara wedding will be attended by only 60 guests, which include close friends, family and Yuvraj’s colleagues from the Indian cricket team. Post the gurdwara wedding, a wedding as per Hindu rituals will be held in Goa on December 2. This will be followed by a grand reception in New Delhi on December 7.
Hazel is a British model and actress, who made her Bollywood debut in Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor-starrer ‘Bodyguard’. Hazel has even done an item song, “Aa Ante Amlapuram”, in the 2012 crime-thriller ‘Maximum’, also starring Neha Dhupia and Sonu Sood. Hazel was also a part of ‘Bigg Boss 7′, which was hosted by her ‘Bodyguard’ co-star Salman Khan. She even participated in the dance reality show, ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’.
