This Pakistani fruit-seller singing Arijit Singh’s song from Khamoshi will win your heart
This video of a fruit-seller singing Arijit Singh’s popular song ‘Baate ye Kabhi na’ from movie Khamoshiyan is winning hearts across the Internet.
People in India and Pakistan are a passionate bunch and it shows in their expressions, as they sing their hearts out, or move to their favorite beats in the middle of their busy days, working hard to earn a living. The best thing about it is that the big bad world, with all it’s hardships, struggle and meanness, still can’t take away the pure, artistic side that makes us human!
The video was first uploaded on the ‘All Pakistan Drama Page’ on July 25 and since then it has been viewed more than 10,00,000 times and has been shared by more than 28,000 people. In the video, the man – identified as Tahir Zaman – can be seen singing the song with simplicity yet he manages to mesmerise listeners with his melodious voice.
Soon after the video was uploaded, there were people who commented and asked for his contact details. It was Pakistan’s Dunya News which later picked up the story and invited Zaman to their studio. Zaman told the news channel that his favourite singer was Ghazal maestro Ustad Ghulam Ali Khan and that he expected better guidance and opportunities in future after this.
There have been similar other videos in the past showing less fortunate people possessing great amount of talent and they manage to be popular for sometime on social media. However, is Zaman manages to make use of this opportunity then it would be a great motivation for others too.
